1. Week long break from work
As obvious as this sounds, I’m really excited to not think about anything work related for an entire week. The last month has been ridiculously busy and this will be a nice mental break. Even on weekends sometimes I find myself thinking about work and the upcoming things for the following week.
2. Spend time with my family
I’m going on vacation with my parents and I’m really looking forward to spending quality time with them. Even though I see them frequently it’s rare that we spend more than 30 minutes with one another. It will be great to share this experience with them.
3. Exploring the city
London is such an amazing city with so many beautiful and historic sites to see. I’ve been to London once previously, but it was only for two days so I primarily toured the main attractions. I’m looking forward to seeing more things than just Parliament and Big Ben.
4. Trying new foods
Even though England is hardly famous for it’s cuisine, London has just about any type of restaurant or food you could imagine. I’m looking forward to trying new things that I wouldn’t normally have the opportunity to eat at home.
5. Harry Potter museum
Yes, that’s correct. I’m super excited to go to the Harry Potter museum. I’ve read all the books several times and I love the movies as well. I grew up reading these books and when I found out there was a Harry Potter museum right outside of London I put this attraction toward the top of my list.
For all your travelers out there, can you suggest any places to visit, eat or just check out? It would be much appreciated!
